Running Back to Glory as a name has been on a journey… It began as a phrase in a song by Page Lynch, “I am running back to glory, Father. Hear my cry, Adonai.”
Running Back to Glory then became Page’s band name (RBtG). When Page made the difficult decision to take his career solo, he wanted to do something with the name that has inspired so many people from its very concept. Naturally, after experiencing the suicides of two close friends within six months of each other, Page wanted to help people with suicidal thoughts. After Page discovered that a successful organization with this same mission already existed, he made the decision to not step on their toes and pray for God’s guidance with RBtG. After seven months, God had an idea. Now, Running Back to Glory is several things and several people pulling together for a common purpose, namely: 1. RBtG is a growing group of Christian artists that support each other but also the Running Back to Glory mission by devoting their time and a percentage of their earnings to the RBtG mission. Every time you buy merchandise from one of the RBtG artists from the RBtG website, a portion of the proceeds goes toward a non-profit organization of that artists choice. When you buy RBtG organization merchandise, a portion of the proceeds goes toward a non-profit organization of your choice, from all the groups that are partnered with us. 2. RBtG is a 5k race/walk that will be held annually by the RBtG artists to raise money for the selected non-profit organization of the year. It will tour through several cities as it grows. The races will be sponsored by various churches and organizations and the RBtG artists will perform live there. It is the mission of Running Back to Glory to raise increasingly much needed funds for non-profit organizations such as Blood/Water Mission, Habitat for Humanity, New Hope Sudan, Compassion, Campus Crusade for Christ, and many more. It is an even greater mission of RBtG to inspire unity among the followers of Christ. RBtG is an effort to unite under one Jesus flag and show America and all of the world that although we have our differences as believers, we share a common belief in the compassion, love, and mercy of Jesus Christ… **Page Lynch, his wife Amy, and Tyson Pate are the founders of the Running Back to Glory organization, and they thank you for reading. |
